1. She got her first camera when she was 11, she said that slowly photography became everything. She slowly became better and better with the cameras. Soon she was taking great photos. Then her love for cooking began.
2. She takes photos of food gradients. She will lay out many types of the same or different types of food making color gradients. She's kind of “painting” a food rainbow. She also cooks things to a certain color and then lays those out to make gradients. She uses all different types of food for her work
3. She “sees food as an art, and an opportunity to do something creative”. She's working on a life goal to teach herself how to cook everything and anything. She thinks the gradients of food is something that should be documented. She enjoys the color behind food and experimenting with flavors. She is a firm believer in having a lot of goals.
4. Brittany Wright has influenced me by the type of work she does. I love how she uses different types of food to make something bigger. Her work speaks to me because I’ve always liked to organize things in colors. She inspired me in her work with all the different techniques she used.
6. To compare and contrast I would say I did pretty well. The one with bananas was the hardest I did not match the placement they are in but I did pretty well with the gradients. The one with the carrots was good because I got all the colors to match but they were baby carrots. And the last one was good I used the same placement but a different background.
7. All of these were kind of done in a rush. I was very sick over the week and was out of commission. As you can tell they are not as great as I'd like them to be. The colors are my favorite part. Overall I like them they still are good but I wish they were better.
